I have been seeing this idea floating all around and I made my own version using our papers and embellishments!
I love topping a project with a tiny button with matching floss!
It’s easy peasy! Cover clothes pin with paper, make a paper flower and attach with liquid glass! A nice way to close up a gifty bag! Order supplies here!
Going to a Bunco and am helping with the decor-made a few snack size 45′record bowls for the tables…25 cents each at my local thrift store! Notice I chose the ones with the bottoms still plugged. If you are making ones like I did with the metal in the center, make sure you don’t touch the center until the record has cooled off! I LURVE to repurpose…wait…maybe I should have listened to these first…Julius Caesar with Marlan Brando, might have been worth something…oh well, I like how they turned out!
I also made a couple using old 78’s! Instructions in a previous post HERE
Thrift store finds…an old candy jar and a candle holder make a great marriage! $2.50 invested…Use your E600 or Gorilla glue and you have an instant apothecary jar! I added my soft strawberry candies (dollar tree), some trim and an old clip on earring for some bling!
It’s time to think about gift giving and get out those containers we have all been saving and start sprucing them up! Just back from a grand time in Lake Tahoe with my Close To My Heart Director friends. Here is a cute idea inspired by Kay Pekin, a Director and on fire successful downline.
We glued two thin boxes together (these are from clearbags.com-also a great resource for clear envelopes) Then we made a box lid that slides over the top. You can replicate this idea using any box. Just measure the box and add 1/8" to the width and length. Our top was 3" down from the top. Embellished with Jingle papers (gift cut out from the paper), Twinkle brads and ribbon. Cute!!! Thanks Kay!
I’ve added glitter to my vintage salt shaker collection. Glitter makes me happy…in fact I have to share this great quote I discovered! It fits me-I plan on making stamps with this saying for gifts!
"I set out to rule the world but was distracted by something sparkly!"
My bargain radar is a genetic disorder. The bargains seem to find me. Or I am subconsciously always on the lookout. Maybe it’s my third eye thing. That intuitive part of me that helps me out with my music therapy sessions and knowing what people are thinking or going to say. Regardless, I have been called the bargain queen. One good friend of mine said, “You’re going to have a coupon to bury yourself!” I actually HAVE seen those kind of coupons. Not yet! See more deals at Frugal Frills.
So…here is my latest busy-ness…
Vons had these cute 4”ish pink and white heart shaped ramekins! Since I have a fondness for hearts and my paper crafting business is called “Close To My Heart” and since my happy scrappy place is shabby chic pink, white and black, AND since I am a container FREAK, I had to have these. Oh, did I mention they are half price this week? Only $1.49 each!!!
You could even bake something in them, what a concept!
OH…and this week at Michaels I found these way cool felt ribbons with real stitching on the edges ($1) and the cute flower ribbon was clearanced for only 25cents!!!
