It’s time to think about gift giving and get out those containers we have all been saving and start sprucing them up! Just back from a grand time in Lake Tahoe with my Close To My Heart Director friends. Here is a cute idea inspired by Kay Pekin, a Director and on fire successful downline.
We glued two thin boxes together (these are from clearbags.com-also a great resource for clear envelopes) Then we made a box lid that slides over the top. You can replicate this idea using any box. Just measure the box and add 1/8" to the width and length. Our top was 3" down from the top. Embellished with Jingle papers (gift cut out from the paper), Twinkle brads and ribbon. Cute!!! ☮Peace was on my mind all day today. For me it was about inner Peace. How can we have world Peace without inner Peace?

Victory Gardens is here!
We planted a garen today!!! It was so cool…Heather and Ian made a generous donation. We had a dozen volunteers. My Mom, cousin Lori, Aunt Pat, Danielle and Jada came too. Heather and Ian made an awesome yummy breakfast and lunch for everyone too. Of course it was all organic, fair trade, local yummy stuff.
I can’t wait to reap the bounty!

On my Cupcake kick, I had mentioned earlier that I had a "Cupcake" announcement…well after much consideration, I have renamed my Close To My Heart Team "Paper Cupcakes".

Since I call myself a "Card-i-ologist" I had to laugh…
A Cardiologist died and was given an elaborate funeral. A huge heart covered in flowers stood behind the casket during the service. Following the eulogy, the heart opened, and the casket rolled inside. The heart then closed, sealing the doctor in the beautiful heart forever.
At that point, one of the mourners burst into laughter.
When all eyes stared at him, he said, "I’m sorry, I was just thinking of my own funeral…..I’m a Gynecologist."
The Proctologist fainted.

I’m on a flower kick! I love mixing our papers. Here I took something plain and boring and turned it into something super cute and inspirational! I have several of these for workshops. Another $1 tree bargain that I’ve had for a while. Get out those containers and add some fofi-lala!
